Trivia

  • Pat McAuley's last game for Celtic - and at left back as opposed to the customary left half. He'd asked for either more money or to be transfer-listed back in November 1949 and was promptly dropped and transfer listed. He did go to Rome with the Celtic party in May and played in the 'Friendly' for Lazio's 50th birthday but he never started the 1950-51 season at Celtic.
