|Match Pictures | Matches: 1951 - 1952 | 1951-52 Pictures|
- Part of the calendar for the end of the season, the Glasgow Charity Cup was contested by Rangers, Clyde, Partick Thistle and Celtic. In the other game Rangers beat Partick Thistle 4-3 at Ibrox.
- Baillie returned at left half.
- Billy McPhail, who had been top scorer in Division B for Clyde this season played but his elder brother at Celtic, John, was out injured following the game against Sligo Rovers. The younger McPhail would soon become a Celtic player.
ReviewThe headline described it as "Neither Team great Shakes in this Charity Cup-Tie".
The teams played out a dull 0-0 draw with Celtic far from inspiring and the match was won by Clyde on the toss of a coin. Bobby Evans showed his aptitude for playing as a forward. Evans beat the Clyde goalkeeper but his goal-bound header was cleared off the line by Haddock. Neither team sparkled in attack. Clyde had the ball in the net in the second half but the effort was ruled offside. Clyde appeared to most certainly have the best of the second half with Bonnar having to make some crucial saves.
Bonnar; Boden, Rollo; Millsopp, Stein, Baillie; Higgins, Evans; Walsh; Peacock, Tully.
Thomson; Lindsay, Haddock; Anderson, Somerville, Long; Buchanan, Smith; McPhail, Robertson, Ring.
Referee: G Brittle (Glasgow)
