Review

Celtic were outplayed in the first half but fought back to be level by half time in an exciting game at Bayview Park. Had East Fife taken their chances in the first half they would have been ahead, but as it was, a plucky and resilient Celtic grabbed a decisive winner in the second half. Walsh equalised after Plumb had put East Fife ahead in the first half. The second half opened with Celtic attacking and on 64 minutes Walsh got his second goal. Collins playing at inside right then placed a pass through for Mochan to run onto and score. Plum pulled a goal back for East Fife to make it 3-2 to Celtic. A poor clearance from goalkeeper Curran was picked up by Mochan who returned the ball for his second and Celtic's fourth goal. Plum got his hatrick just before the end to make it 3-4.
A most entertaining game.

Both Aberdeen and Celtic won to keep it tight at the top.
