- In came Duncan MacKay at right back; Bertie Peacock reverted to his more usual left half position with John Divers back at inside left; Malky Slater got his first start of the season at outside right.
ReviewA game of missed chances for Celtic. After dominating the first half but fauiling to put away the chances they had, thery succumbed to a well-playing Thirds side in the second half. Thirds scored first in a good passing breakaway move. Divers equalised just before half time from an Auld cross. However in the second half it was all Third Lanark and they scored a further three goals before Mike Jackson pegged one back just before the whistle.
