- Celtic reach their 4th successive LCF.
- Connelly deputising for the suspended Johnstone scores the winner.
- Celtic play in unusual old fashioned green and white hooped socks.
ReviewClyde played well and Hood was a constant threat to the Celtic defence. Simpson had to save well to prevent Hood scoring.
Without Johnstone Celtic struggled on the flanks and the goal only came when Stein swapped Lennox and Hughes on the flanks.
Hughes got to the bye line and cut a ball back to substitute George Connelly who scored with a spectacular high shot for the winner.
Clyde continued to play with distinction and fought to the end.
