Review

Celtic fans turn out in force to cheer the new league flag and Celtic don’t disappoint. Clyde sportingly applauded Celtic on to the field and they had no answer to the running and sharpness of Bobby Lennox. Danny McGrain got in the act with a fine goal after substitute Jimmy Johnstone had created it with a run and cut back. The only down side was the bad injury received by young McLaughlin after a horrendous tackle by McVie.

The Celtic fans sang ‘eight in a row, eight in a row, hello ! hello !’ throughout the game.
