DUBAI, Wednesday: GlasgowCelticclaimed the unofficial British club soccer title when they won theDubaiChampions' Cup, beating English League championsLiverpool4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 score at full-time.

Celticskipper Mark McGhee fired the Scottish side ahead in the 12th minute, while second half substitute John Aldridge equalised in the 73rd minute.
In the penalty shoot-out Mick McCarthy missed forCelticbut Peter Grant, Tommy Coyne, Lex Baillie and Ian Andrews were on target.
Peter Beardsley and Aldridge made no mistake from the spot forLiverpool, but Steve McMahon and Steve Staunton missed.
