Quick Review

John Hartson fired an early attempt narrowly wide of the Newcastle goal after chesting the ball down in the box. Celtic ought to have taken the lead after 13 minutes, Jackie McNamara's lovely low ball finding Chris Sutton unmarked 16 yards out only for the striker to send his diving header just wide. McNamara was again the creator, breaking forward before finding Stilian Petrov behind the Newcastle defence, but the Bulgaria midfielder shot wide after rounding goalkeeper Steve Harper.
Young midfielder Aidan McGeady stung Harper's fingers with a 25-yard drive that the goalkeeper turned over superbly for a corner.
Substitute Craig Beattie was foiled by Harper's legs early in the second half after being put clear by Sutton.
Newcastle took the lead after 61 minutes, Bellamy driving low into the far corner from 18 yards.
That was the signal for Camara to take to the field as Celtic made sweeping changes.
Camara set up Sylla inside the box, but the midfielder's shot deflected off the goalkeeper's shoulder and over the bar.
Sylla made amends from the resulting corner, flicking his header home from eight yards.
Camara struck late on to send the Celtic support home happy.

Trivia

Martin O'Neill has warned that Celtic will fail to retain the Scottish title or make an impact in Europe unless they make further signings.
