2007-05-12: Celtic 2-1 Aberdeen, Premier LeagueThis is a featured page

Aberdeen failed to clinch a Uefa Cup spot after losing to Scottish Premier League champions Celtic at Parkhead. They should have drawn.

Trivia:
WGS in hospital for a hip operation put Tommy Burns in charge for this game, and it showed. Attacking football but poor defensively, but easily the most entertaining game at the ground all year. Aberdeen fans made a good atmosphere.
Neil Lennon waved goodbye, his last game at Parkhead. In his farewell speech he was being told by the chanting of the Aberdeen fans "Lennon, Lennon get tae ****!", to which after 2mins of this he requested politely "Would the Sheep shaggers keep quiet for a minute!" to much hilarity! We'll miss the guy!
Great game by Doumbe with some nifty moves by the guy, Boruc saved a penalty also.
