Celtic Charity Fund

Following the takeover of Celtic by Fergus McCann the club, in 1995, established the Celtic Charity Fund in the hope of re-vitalising the club's cherished charitable traditions.

The fund was registered as an official recognised charity in March 1996 and in the decade and so since, close to £2 million has been raised and distributed to a wide variety of charities in Scotland, Ireland and all around the globe. In recent years the charity work has been coupled with educational and social inclusion programmes.

The Celtic Chariity Fund has prioritised groups and organisations which support children’s needs, offer community action on drugs, and promote religious and ethnic harmony. The Fund has also raised considerable money for homeless projects, training and advice for the unemployed and projects aiding the innocent victims of war across the world. All in keeping with the ethos of the club's original mission.
