One week after winning the European Cup, Celtic provided the opposition against Real Madrid at the San Bernabeau in di Steffano's testimonial
and recorded a one-nil victory over the famous Spanish giants of European football. Jimmy Johntone mesmerised the Spanish fans by his display and di Steffano was extravagant in his praise of the "wee man's" performance..Another who had praise heaped upon him was goalkeeper John Fallon who played in place of Ronnie Simpson. I have tried to obtain a copy of the film of this match without success and would appreciate any information as to where I may find such a copy. |

my 1st celtic match was the sporting lisbon game in the 80s celtic team was amazed and loved the place my da god bless him said it.s not always like this but me being me thought it was tommy burns was class that feeling will stay with me untill the day i die keep up the great work you do
