BiogEamonn Duggan was a left midfield player who joined the club in summer 1996.
He came through the usual route from Celtic Boys Club, playing with them from the age of 12 and was given an S-Form contract sometime before January 1993. From either Rutherglen or East Kilbride, he attended St. Bride’s High School, East Kilbride. During his time with the Boys Club he won seven Scotland Schoolboy caps and captained at least the U-14 team. At the end of the 1995-96 season he was taken with a Celtic Youth team to the Bourg-Blanc Youth Tournament in France as a 16 year old in what was predominantly an U-18 team.
He signed full professional terms in August 1996 with a two year contract to July 1998. 1996-97 was spent playing with the Youth squad throughout. The following season he started with the Reserve squad but dropped back to the Youths squad by September, though he did play in all the BP Youth Cup and Glasgow Cup games.
Out of contract at the end of the season he was released by the club without making a first team appearance or making the Bench or playing in any Friendlies.
He was a trialist at Rotherham on 3/9/98 but arrived at Junior club Neilston in December '98 described as an ex-Celtic and Derby County player. Left Neilston in 2004 but subsequent to this an Eamonn Duggan featured prominently for East Kilbride-based amateur cracks Greenhills Dynamo.
