Biog

A versatile defensive player who had been with the club on an S-Form while playing for the Celtic Boy’s Club.

Steven went on to captain the youths and featured regularly at U21 level. He also played for Scotland at U16, U19 and U20 level while with Celtic. However, having become too old for the U21 setup and with first team opportunities at a premium, Steven was allowed to move on in January 2004.

He linked up with Dumbarton and played for them in a bounce game v. Clyde on 3 February 2004. He spent the next month training with Sligo Rovers at the start of their 2004 season but wasn’t taken on. Then former Ireland captain Alan Kernaghan signed him for Clyde on 1 April 2004, announcing that he could play in central midfield or defence and had been with Celtic for 9 years.

He left Clyde at the end of 2003/04 following the expiry of his short term deal and seems to have since retired…

Not to be confused with Stevie Jack.
