Biog

Goalkeeper Andrew McPherson was signed by Celtic from Morton in May 1902 as the successor to Bob McFarlane.

His debut came in a 3-1 Charity Cup win over Hearts at Parkhead on May 19th 1902. Greenock-born McPherson came to Celtic in an exchange deal which saw outside-right John Hodge move in the opposite direction. At times an erratic keeper McPherson made 32 appearances for Celtic before departing for Hibernian in April 1904.
