Celtic Career Review
Tough tackling defender who resisted overtures from Hearts and Rangers to sign pro forms with Celtic in summer 1998. He had become a hot property after his performances for the Celtic Boys' Clubs in the North and Aberdeen.
Seemed to be making good progress and was skipper of the Youth Team when he was surprisingly released at the end of the ignominious 1999/00 season.
Since then "Bexy"* has carved out a successful career at Junior level, first with Maryhill and then Pollok. He switched to Arthurlie ahead of the 2010-11 campaign.
* An enduring nickname acquired at Maryhill when – perhaps in homage to Posh 'n' Becks – he and better half Alexis were branded Lexy 'n' Bexy.
