Biog

A product of the N.E. Boys Club system who could play anywhere down the right hand side. He joined up at U16 level in 1994 having been attached to King's St. BC and playing for St Machar Academy School.

Played most of his football in the North East but won a professional contract in July 1996. Sadly disaster struck shortly thereafter and he missed the 1996/97 season with a damaged cruciate ligament.

He recovered to appear in Youth and Reserve games in 97/98 but his contract was not extended and he is believed to have finished the season on trial with Stirling Albion.

He did his 1998 pre-season with Highland League Deveronvale but knocked back terms there to train with Division Three outfit Ross County for a month. Eventually agreed to join his local Highland League side Huntly in August 1998 and had an injury hit two year spell. He attempted a comeback with Lossiemouth in 2000/01.

Since then Ryan has been traced playing for local Junior sides Sunnybank (in 2001/02) and Glentanar (in 2006/07). He is thought to have departed the latter after another injury setback.
