BiogDan Munro

Quick and tenacious Dan Munro was a pacy outside-right signed from Forres Mechanics in May 1908 after a successful trial game. It was said that "The young Forres pplayer has football in him but is inclined to be timid". However, likely he wasn't that timid.

The Peterhead-born player made his senior debut in a 2-0 Charity Cup win over Clyde at Celtic Park on May 5th 1908. Once had the top of his boot ripped off against Rangers withing ten minutes in the League at Ibrox on October 30th 1909. He got the tear on his foot stitched up and he came back on but was a passenger in the remainder of the game.

Set up the goal that got us a draw in the Scottish Cup final of 1909, but he wasn't to get a place in the replay!

Despite tough competition for a starting slot Dan made some 36 appearances for the Hoops - scoring six goals - before moving to Bradford City in November 1910.
