1st 1967: Celtic lose 2-1 to Racing Club in the World Club Championship 2nd leg, and the tie goes to a play-off.
2nd 1978: Celtic sign Murdo MacLeod for £100,000 from Dumbarton.
3rd 1951: Charlie Tully is ordered of in the 2-2 draw with Third lanark at Celtic Park. He would later receive a one month suspension for his actions.
4th 1967: Celtic lose 1-0 to Racing Club in Montevideo in a play-off to decide the World Club Championship.
5th 1975: Celtic wear numbers on the back of their shirts for the first time as they defeat Boavista 3-1 in the European Cup-Winners Cup at Parkhead.

2005: A statue of Celtic founder Brother Walfrid is officially unveiled outside Celtic Park.
6th 1887: Celtic Football Club is formally constituted at a meeting in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church hall on East Rose Street (now Forbes Street), Calton, Glasgow.

8th 1864:Tom Maley born in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
9th 1991: Tony Mowbray makes Celtic debut in 2-1 home league victory over Aberdeen.
10th 1971: Kenny Dalglish makes his debut for Scotland in a 1-0 European Championship qualifier victory over Begium at Pittodrie.
11th 1943: Early Celtic hero Dan McArthur dies aged 66
12th 1988: Celtic defeat Rangers 3-1 in league clash at Parkhead
13th 1968: Celtic produce a sensational performance in Glasgow to defeat Red Star Belgrade 5-1 in European Cup second-round first-leg
14th 2010: A dramatic injury time winner from Gary Hooper give Celtic a 1-0 league win at St Mirren.
15th 1961: Celtic thrash St.Mirren 7-1 in home league clash.
16th 1929: Bertie Thomson makes Celtic debut in 2-1 home league win over Cowdenbeath
17th 1973: John 'Dixie' Deans scores goals in a 7-0 league win over Partick Thistle at Celtic Park.
18th 1964: Ronnie Simpson made his debut in a 3-1 defeat away to Barcelona in the Fairs Cup
19th 2005: Celtic beat Rangers 3-0 with goals from Hartson, Balde and McGeady - Incredibly this meant Celtic were 15 points clear of Rangers by mid-November
20th 1945: Jimmy Quinn - "The Croy Express" died in his home village at the age of 67.Jimmy scored 216 goals in 331 appearances and was an integral part of Celtic's six in a row League title wins between 1905-1910.
21st 1998: Celtic thrash Rangers 5-1 at Celtic Park. Moravcik scored his first two goals for Celtic in this game.

2006:Celtic beat Manchester United 1-0 with a tremendous free-kick from Shunsuke Nakamura to put Celtic through to the last 16 of the Champions League.
22nd 1968:Tommy Callaghan was signed by Jock Stein from Dunfermline.Tommy was an outstanding midfielder (under-rated by some) who played a very significant part in Celtic's Nine in a Row League Championships.
23rd 1929: Jimmy McGrory scored a hat-trick against St.Johnstone - it was one of four hat-tricks he scored that season.
24th 1888: Celtic lose 0-1 to Clyde in a Scottish Cup tie, after a protest, the tie was ordered to be replayed on 8th Dec.

1958: Roy Aitken born in Irvine, Ayrshire.

1984: Frank McGarvey scored a hat-trick in a 7-1 win over St.Mirren - this meant that Frank was the first player to score 100 goals in the Premier League.In total Frank scored 113 goals in 245 appearances for Celtic.
25th 1981: Celtic lift the Daily Express Five-a-Side Challenge cup at Wembley Arena after defeating Watford, Manchester United, Ipswich and Southampton.
26th 2010: The SFA's Head of Referee development is sacked after sending an offensive e-mail. The discredited former referee had also been criticised for lying in the media about referee Dougie McDonald's controversial decision to reverse a penalty award to Celtic.
27th 1914: Celtic legend Peter Somers dies aged just 36 years.

2010: Scottish referees take "strike" action after being criticised by club officials in the media. Foreign referees take charge of those SPL games that survive the weather.Celtic can only draw 2-2 with Inverness but Luxembourg ref Alain Hamer puts in a fine display.
28th 2010: Referee Dougie McDonald quits football after lying to Neil Lennon and supporters about why he reveresed a decision to award Celtic a penalty. The shamed ref resigned without offering an apology to Lennon or Celtic for his lies.
29th 1948: Early Celtic hero Davie Adams dies aged 55
30th 1997: Celtic lift the League Cup with emphatic 3-0 win over Dundee United in final at Ibrox
