This page is dedicated to all the great and legendary players in our club's history.

There are those who have been gifted with a blessed ability to entertain and perform on the pitch at the highest levels (such as Henrik Larsson), but also those who have contributed strongly to Celtic giving more than ever could have been asked for.

A complete A-Z of every player who has ever played for Celtic can be found at the following link.

Cult Players & Heroes

  • Lions who never played in the Final
    • John Fallon -
      • The substitute at Lisbon - famously sent out early to claim the bench nearest the half-way line as a shrewd psychological move by Jock Stein to show Inter Milan that this Celtic team were defiant and not going to be bullied by anyone. "We Shall Not Be Moved" Indeed!!!
    • Joe McBride
      • Played in the first two rounds of the tournament scoring three goals - picked up a bad knee injury at Pittodrie in December 1966 and was out injured for a year and thereby Joe missed playing in The Final.
    • John Hughes - Played 5 Games
    • Willie O'Neill - Played 4 games, 1 more than Willie Wallace
    • Charlie Gallacher - Played 2 games
