Pat Stanton Testimonial
I have a pic of the programme for this match played at Easter Road on Sunday 30 April 1978; the game finished 2-1 to Hibs.
How do I make a new page?

Dubious date
I'm sceptical that this is a '55 game for several reasons:-
1) John Higgins was definetly out of the frame to play in this game. he'd just undergone cartilage surgery 2) I can find no record of it in the newspaper archives 3) Willie fernie was also out injured at this time 4) The team line up looks like a '56 team and I think the likelihood is that this is 7/4/56. 31/3/56 against Airdrie reads beattie, haughney, meechan, Goldie, Evans, Peacock, McAlindon, Collins, Mochan, Fernie, Tully 10/4/56 v Aberdeen reads beattie, Haughney, Fallon, Goldie, Evans, Peacock, McAlindon, Craig, Mochan, Fernie, Tully.
Higgins was back in the team late April '56 but Higgins' appearances are thin on the ground in '56 - he only made 7 games all league games.
Anyways.... have a look.

Celtic Park
Hi Joe: Camillo had found 2 pic's of mine w/ Rory Og O'More band in Celtic Park in 1914 but the photo may have been from 1906? Could Camillo put the photos up again on this page.? I would appreciate i think the photos may have been taken on the CFC goal end. I'm sorry I don't know the correct term. In my photo it shows the white picket fence, the terracing but no pavillon /roof that is seen in some of the photos on the 2 long ends of the field. The photo looks like the bottom 2 pic's. If anyone could help pinpoint the date that the photo was taken it would be great. thanks again for the great website and your assistance, Eileen:) I'm sorry I can't get the photos up myself b/c the computer I put them up on ancestry died and I can't access them. Thanks again!

photos of Celtic Park and the Rory Og O'More Band
Hi These photos were taken off Ancestry.com off my family tree. I realize this site is public but the proper thing to do would have been if you could have asked my permission before using these photos on another website. I spoke to Andrew Blue the historian at Celtic Park about the band Joseph O'Kane that was on the team. I could not make a relationship between my O'Kanes and Celtic Football club O'Kane and Andrew could not either. I also tried to research and came acrosss some of the same info on ancestry on Joseph o'Kane. My John O'Kane was friendly with the team and he and his family played the bagpipes during the games at Celtic Park. Thank You, Eileen Breen

Alfredo di Steffano Testimonial 1967
One week after winning the European Cup, Celtic provided the opposition against Real Madrid at the San Bernabeau in di Steffano's testimonial
and recorded a one-nil victory over the famous Spanish giants of European football. Jimmy Johntone mesmerised the Spanish fans by his display and di Steffano was extravagant in his praise of the "wee man's" performance..Another who had praise heaped upon him was goalkeeper John Fallon who played in place of Ronnie Simpson. I have tried to obtain a copy of the film of this match without success and would appreciate any information as to where I may find such a copy.
