Did Chic Charnley not play for Celtic in a friendly pre-season against Man Utd in the mid 90's? Pretty sure Macari was the manager and he was going to sign him Do you find this valuable?

Testimonials - Guests means testimonials we played for people who never played for Celtic. It doesn't mean players who guested in the Celtic team.

that is correct, he played v Man U in a friendly.... would have been 1993 or 94.... Do you find this valuable?

The match was the Mark Hughes testimonial at Old Trafford on 16 May 1994. Celtic beat Man U by 3-1 with Simon Donnelly scoring two crackers, one a lob from the edge of the box. (I think the other goal was scored by John O'Neill who went on to play for Bournemouth.) Chic Charnley wore no. 6 shorts. Other players that played that day include Chris Hay and Gary Holt. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?
