Match report from The Scotsman, 9th May 1921
Without five of their regular team, Partick Thistle were outplayed by Celtic in the Glasgow Charity Cup semi-final, at Celtic Park, Glasgow. They had to play throughout the second half without the services of Green, their new centre forward, who met with a leg injury just before the interval, and was unable to resume again. Even at full strength they never impressed, and only the stout defence of Johnstone and Crichton prevented Celtic from winning by a bigger margin than two goals. Celtic, who reintroduced Dodds at left back, gave a splendid display, and McInally capped a good afternoon's work by scoring two grand goals. Attendance, 15,000.
