Match report from The Scotsman, 27th April 1920

GAME UNFINISHED – CROWD INVADE THE FIELD
At Parkhead, Glasgow, last night, Celtic and Dundee met in a League match before 7000 spectators., Although playing part of the first half with nine men, Bell and Jackson being off owing to injuries, Dundee put up a good fight, and did well to cross over on level terms. Celtic did most of the attacking, but their forwards were well held by the Dundee defence. After thirty minutes Slade scored for Dundee, and two minutes later McStay equalised from a penalty kick. Dundee, with the wind in their favour in the second half, were often dangerous, and Rawlings almost gave his side the lead, the ball striking the underside of the bar and returning into play. With five minutes to go a regrettable incident occurred in which McLean of Celtic figured, and the crowd immediately surged on to the field. The players had to seek the safety of the pavilion, but not before Referee McMillan and McIntosh, Dundee, were assaulted, and no further play took place.
