Trivia

Review

Falkirk had just been promoted to the SPL as first division champions, and were the first to score. Mo Camara fouled Steven Thomson in the 39thminute and Darryl Duffy rammed home a penalty for the bairns. It was not to last though, as Celtic came back from the break fighting and Hartson soon headed in an equaliser from a Nakamura cross. It was Naka's second competitive match for Celtic and he impressed with his skill and positioning in an otherwise fairly unremarkable Celtic performance. The other two goals both came from Alan Thompson, who had at first been flagging and looked set to be replaced by Beattie. However he then scored one from outside the box followed by a curling free-kick in the closing minutes, sealing the three points for Celtic.
