Review

A tale of Celtic being far too casual. Collins, Fernie and Higgins all had early chances but it was Raith that took the lead in the 16th minute when ex-heart Urquhart fired home when Beattie failed to intercept a McEwan cross. Raith piled on the pressure and took another goal on 35 minutes when Williamson headed a free kick past Beattie. Fernie did pull one back for Celtic but uit was the Kircaldy team that was getting the better of the play and proceeded to beseige the Celtic goal in the second half. Luckily their shooting was fairly profligsate and it wasn't until five minutes from the end that Copland took a passs from Williamson to fire hiome a third. A strangely poor performance from Celtic at one of the bogey grounds for the club.
