Review

Celtic had little trouble overcoming the part-timers and retaining the Glasgow Cup especially after scoring after just 30 seconds. Lennox added a second on the quarter hour mark tapping home a parried Hughes shot, and a free kick from Bertie Auld found the net after 38 minutes to put Celtic 3-0 up at half time.
The second half was all about enjoyment. Steve Chalmers scored a goal when a clearance from the goalkeeper came straight to his feet and was immediately dispatched into the net. Bobby Murdoch finished off ten minutes from time with a special.
