Review

Celtic played a great game of composure and speed on the ball with movement a-plenty. There could have been every reason to ease up at 3-0 up at the interval but unlike the previous two when Celtic had found it hard in the first half and only clicked in the second, the foot was on the gas all the way in this one. Lennox in particular was sharp and showed so with four goals. Every player played well including the defense who managed to shut out St Johnstone's hopes of a revibval in the first half after an early goal. This game was a triumph of team work – something that Stein had impressed on the bhoys from a very early stage. St Johnstone were unsettled by an early injury to Ryden who went off and to hospital.
