Inauguration: 25 October 2003
First match: Benfica-Nacional Montevideo 2-1
Capacity: 65,000 seats

Access by car

SL Benfica’s new stadium is best reached from the Segunda Circular ring road, which connects with the national motorway network. Whether you are arriving from the north or from Lisbon city centre, this is the recommended route.

Metro and train
There are two suburban railway stations within a 2.5-kilometre radius of the stadium. To get to the stadium by underground, take the Blue Line and get out either at Alto dos Moinhos or Colégio Militar/Luz. Both of them are very close to the stadium. Lisbon has the best railway infrastructure in the country, with fast, modern comfortable trains to Portugal’s main cities.

Buses
Colégio Militar/Luz is also served by a large number of bus lines, including suburban buses from the outskirts of Lisbon and Carris buses from the city centre. There are plenty of buses from Portugal’s main cities to Lisbon.

Airport
Lisbon International Airport is less than 15 minutes away.
