Team photograph from the first open trial of the 1959-60 season on 1st August 1959 at 19:00. Missing from the signed players for the season are Stephen Lynch, Mike Conroy, John Clark, John Kurila, Doug McMillan, Malcolm Slater, Stevie Chalmers, Roy Paton, Charlie Gallagher, Tully and Auld. Tully had by this time left, his July to July contract having expired. Bertie Auld was told not to turn up and was in a sort of disgrace having been sent off in the international between Holland and Scotland during the closed season. Also missing was 'keeper Dick Beattie who was about to leave for Portsmouth.



Season 1959-60 - first game of the season. It was a League Cup Section tie that we lost 2-1. The players in the photograph are:
