Craig Culkin was signed as an S-Former to Celtic in February 1993. He came to the notice of club scouts through the close association the club had with the Channel Island and in particular with the Jersey Scottish club. Numerous youth teams went to take part in tournaments on the island as well as the main team playing at least one Friendly there. Craig played most of his early football with Celtic Boys Club during the holidays and was taken on by the club as a full time pro in July 1995. He went with the U18's to win John Moran Memorial Tournament in Ireland at the end of the 95/96 season and then to the Bourg Blanc Tournament in France. In 96/97 he was injured from October onwards and subject to specialists after a hernia injury prooved difficult to correct. He saw a number of specialists but exact nature of the injury was difficult to treat. He failed to appear on any team sheets for 97/98 and may have been released but was definetly released by August 1998.

He went to study Sports Science at Liverpool University and whilst there had a trial at non-League Altrincham. He completed his B.Sc. (Hons) in Sports Science in 2003 and in 2006 was awarded a postgraduate certificate in Sports Psychology. Craig has worked his way through the coaching courses and in 2005 undertook the UEFA A licence award.

Craig is currently the manager of St Paul’s F.C and is also the coach of the Jersey senior men’s team. He runs "Culks Sports and Soccer Skools"
