Biog

A sturdy central defender promoted from the Boys club system who moved on to England aged just 17.

Immediately nailed down a place with Shrewsbury Town and helped them win promotion and then ride relatively high in the old Division Two. Moved on to Wrexham in 1982 and spent another 4 years thundering around Divisions Three and Four.

Then switched to Derry City and captained them to the 'treble' in 1989 while at the peak of his powers. Hung up his boots after a spell at Finn Harps, where his path crossed with a very young Declan Boyle.

Later went into business as a mortgage broker in Derry until he landed in a spot of bother with the FSA in 2008.
