Biog

Central midfield player born in Dublin but raised in East Kilbride and a Scotland schoolboy international. Stepped up from Celtic BC in 1985 after featuring in every round of BP Youth Cup matches the previous season. Also in that year's crop were Alex Mathie and Derek Whyte.

Then moved on to Clyde in 1987 after skippering Celtic to the BP Youth Cup in his final season at that age group. Made an immediate impression on the 'Bully Wee' first team before dropping out of the picture and being transferred to East Stirlingshire in March 1989. Again he made a decent number of appearances before finding himself at Shotts Bon Accord Juniors for the latter part of his second season with the 'Shire'.

McEntegart spent 1990/91 with Alloa Athletic before retiring from the game and entering the legal profession.

Known as 'McEntaggart' in some sources.

There was a Sean McEntegart, also Dublin born, who was a couple of years Tommy's junior and played for Queens Park and Hamilton Accies with distinction before rounding off his career with Crawley Town and Fisher Athletic. They were brothers, but Sean didn't sadly make the great either.

Tom McEntegart is now a solicitor (having given up football for university), and Sean went on to be an accountant.
