Celtic Career Review

Left sided attacker who emerged from the Pro youth setup to command a place in the U19 team in 2005/6.

But he was soon tempted away to Motherwell in 2006 where he was handed a first team squad number (49) and played under Chris McCart in the Fir Park club's U19s, alongside Owen Archdeacon's son Mark.

With no new deal forthcoming from Motherwell and eager for first team football, he went on trial to Albion Rovers in February 2007. Presumably he performed well during the allotted three 'trialist' appearances as Rovers took him on and extended his contract again that summer.

After dropping out of the picture at Cliftonhill he was released in September 2007, and linked up with Lesmahagow Juniors the following month.

For 2008/09 McGeough found himself on Lesmahagow's 'retained' list. This apparently means that although the Junior club don't require his services, they nevertheless retain his registration.
