League Final Charity Tie – This important match, which the Celtic and Dumbarton were the contestants, was decided at Cathkin Park, Glasgow, last night, in fine weather, and before 8000 spectators. The event was under the patronage and presence of the Hon. Lord Provost Muir and several members of the Town Council. The Lord Provost kicked-off. Dumbarton scored somewhat luckily in twenty minutes, and continued to have the best of the play that was going. The Celts were not in their usual fine form, but nevertheless came near to scoring on several occasions. At the interval the Dumbarton led by the solitary point. In five minutes Dumbarton scored a second goal. The feature of the game was the forward play of Galbraith and Miller. Ten minutes before the whistle blew, the Celts lost another goal, and retired beaten, after a very mediocre display, by three goals to love.
