Trivia
- The Roamers – also known as the Glasgow Roamers – were a team of players from different clubs who played together in occasional matches
- This match was held to raise funds for various charities in Glasgow’s east end
- Kenny Anderson was just about to sign for Queen`s Park and win Scottish caps, Toffee Bob McColl too was Hampden bound and this was Bob Sellar`s last game before becoming Queen`s Park president.
- Incidentally, the club was simply ROAMERS; Glasgow Roamers came slightly later as a separate, unconnected junior one which only lasted a year.
- There were quite a few junior Roamers clubs scattered all over Scotland at the time but the name didn`t catch on like Wanderers, Rovers or Rangers.
