Review

April showers at Parkhead in this, the final game of the Glasgow League season and a home win would necessitate a title playoff with Rangers and a wooden spoon, without a single point for the visitors. The Bhoys started off quite lethargically unsurprisingly when a couple of midweek games against English opposition are taken into account but Queen`s couldn`t take advantage and the second half was seven minutes old before Dan McArthur was beaten unexpectedly by a Dyke Berry trundler which caught him completely by surprise. The Spiders defence capably held off Celtic`s attacks and Bob McColl(the famous R.S.McColl of sweetie shop fame) scored twice more before the end.
