Review
A new trade name for the Spiders after this game would be LUCKY QUEEN`S PARK FC. Celtic dominated this game and had the ball nestling in Jim Clark`s net four times with Mr.McLeod mysteriously ruling out two for offside then allowing a late Queen`s goal when Rob Lambie was palpably offside when he slipped the ball to Davie Wilson for the visitors` equaliser ten minutes from time. Sensationally only Davie Storrier`s acrobatic overhead kick under the bar near the close prevented Queen`s taking both points. The Hampdenians had gone ahead through Rob Lambie but Jack Bell soon levelled and from a Bell cross Johnny Divers headed the Celts ahead before the break and for half an hour in the closing 45 only bad finishing and Clark`s `keeping prevented a route. Then came the dramatic finale.
