Trivia

  • Hugh Watson scored his only goal for Celtic.
  • This actually has to go through four games to get to a result (third was abandoned). In those days there wasn't penalty kicks etc to decide the result.

Review

At long last, Celtic settle this tie which has been going on since January 10.
This time on a fine day, and with prices reduced, Celtic get their reward with a large crowd and they in turn reward their spectators withe a fine performance in which they simply swept the Buddies aside.
Alec McPherson in Celtic's goal was in inspirational form early on, but the highlight was Sandy McMahon's goal "than which hardly any finer or headier effort has been seen in Scottish football"
