The Glasgow Herald – Mar 4, 1918
RECORD ATTENDANCE AT CLYDEBANK
Penalty-kicks were unpleasant features of the majority of the League matches, though in every case the infringement was slight and technical; but in three instances – at Clydebank, Shawfield, and Hamilton – penalty goals were winning goals. A record crowd of 16,000 saw Celtic win much easier than the final score indicated.
