The Glasgow Herald – Dec 30, 1918
Celtic were happily circumstanced in having an eleven on duty that were reminiscent of better days at Parkhead. With McMenemy, Browning, and Gallagher available in attack, Dodds and McStay in defence, the Celts had a overwhelming advantage over Hibernian deprived of Gough, Gordon, and other useful players that was reflected in the result, a victory achieved almost without effort.
