Match report from The Scotsman, 19th December 1921

[…] At Celtic Park, Glasgow, Clydebank put up a poor show against the Celtic, and suffered defeat by six goals to nothing. The Celtic opened with the assistance of a strong wind, but twenty-two minutes had gone before they got the better of the visitors’ defence, McLean scoring from short range. Before the interval, McFarlane and Cassidy increased the lead. Clydebank did no better after the interval, the forwards being badly supported by their half-backs, and making a poor show. Dodds increased the Celtic’s lead from a penalty kick, and Cassidy and Gallacher completed the rout before the finish. The attendance was about 4000.

The Glasgow Herald – Dec 19, 1921

Throughout the game Celtic had the better of the play. A corner against Clydebank led to nothing, but later the home side began to press, and a fine centre by McAtee allowed McLean to open the scoring. A few minutes later McFarlane scored a second goal for the home side, close on the interval Cassidy headed a third. There was no change in the respective conditions in the second half. With victory secure, the Celtic attack became rather less vigorous, but it was always equal to attacks by Clydebank. A penalty kick was awarded against the visitors, Dodds scoring. Other goals were secured by Cassidy and Gallagher.
