Match report from The Scotsman, 4th January 1922

[…] At Shawfield Park, Glasgow, Clyde gave one of their best displays of the season against Celtic, and were full value for the point they gained. The exchanges were fast, and interest was maintained to the end. Clyde began in fine style, the forwards playing a fast, open game. Brown proved a grand leader, and he had several grand attempts to beat Shaw, who was none too confident in his clearances. Celtic’s first real visit to Shingleton brought them a goal, Gallacher getting past the backs to slip the ball into the net. Before the interval Brown had a great first-time drive, which struck Shaw and rebounded off the post into play. Twenty minutes from the finish Duncan headed the equaliser, following a well-placed corner kick. The attendance would be 10,000.
