Match report from The Scotsman, 28th February 1923

ST MIRREN'S FEEBLE FORWARDS
That St Mirren dropped a couple of points ti Celtic at Parkhead, Glasgow, was due to the inability of their forwards to finish some smart outfield play. Five minutes after the start, Bradford misjudged the ball, and gave Cassidy an easy chance to score the only goal. After that the visitors gave as much as they got, and just on the interval some clever play by the right wing gave Stevenson a fine chance, but he lifted the ball over the bar, In the second half, St Mirren forced the game, but thei shooting was poor, and it was near the finish before Shaw was really tested, but he proved equal to the occasion.
