RANGERS REVIVE and DRAW.

It was a remarkable game at Celtic Park, Glasgow , where Rangers, after looking like a well beaten side, managed to share the points with Celtic. Heavy rain fell throughout the game, but very few of the 60,000 spectators present left before the finish. Rangers had Meiklejohn And Henderson back in their side, but throughout the first half they were outplayed by Celtic, whose forwards and half-backs, working well together, gave a brilliant display. The game had only gone three minutes when McLean tricked Meiklejohn and Gray, and crossed to McGrory, who, lying unmarked, headed the ball past Robb into the net. This early goal unsettled the Rangers, and Celtic soon established a decided superiority, which they hold to the interval. The Rangers backs and halfbacks -were overworked, and when McInally scored a second goal for Celtic it was overdue. Neither Cairns nor Cunningham could get their line moving, and only once had Shevlin to handle during this half. For the first fifteen minutes of the second half Celtic continued to hold the upper hand, and only fine saving by Robb kept Thomson and M'Grory from putting them further ahead. With Meiklejohn going lame and changing to inside left, things looked black for Rangers, when Cunningham, taking a pass from Cairns, beat Shevlin with a soft looking effort. The next minute Muirhead from well out sent the ball goalwards, and, to the surprise of the spectators, Shevlin was beaten again. Rangers made a fight of it now and the last twenty minutes provided plenty of thrills, but neither goalkeeper gave anything away. The whole Celtic team played well, but in a Rangers' side that played poorly throughout only Robb, Dixon, and Archibald were good.
