Match Report
From a newspaper report.

The wet weather made the pitch soft, Celtic pressed strongly at the opening, and Brodie and his partners had a hard time for the first ten minutes keeping McInally and McGrory out. The home side’s defence, however, played strongly, and Ramsay, racing away, tested Shevlin with a hard shot.
Celtic returned, pressing hard, and three corners were smartly cleared by Brodie. The City kept their end up well, and Lindsay had another good try, which was well saved by Shevlin.
Brechin then raced away, and great enthusiasm prevailed when Gentles scored.
City were now put on the defensive again, and the continued pressure led to McGrory scoring the equaliser. Keeping up the pressure another goal was soon added, McGrory again being the scorer.
Celtic now kept Brechin confined to their own end, Thomson, McInally and McGrory testing Brodie who continued to save well. Maintaining the pace, Celtic had the homesters in Queer Street, and it was only their superb defence that prevented further scoring.
Just on the interval Brechin made great efforts to penetrate the Celtic lines, but McStay, and Hilley, were there, and Shevlin got little to do. Celtic continued their smart work, and Brechin gained great credit for their plucky display
