- Robert "Bertie" Thomson misses a host of chances in this Tuesday afternoon game, but takes the one that counts in the end by scoring the winner with three minutes remaining. Hamilton's outside-left Robert "Bobby" Howe had opened the scoring for Hamilton in 5 minutes and Jimmy McGrory equalised twelve minutes later.
- As the sun was setting over the city of "The Vale of Paradise" last night the Prince of Wales and Prince George descended from the air on to the placid blue waters of the magnificent harbour after an excellent flight over mountain and valley from Santiago, the capital. Screaming sirens from every vessel in the port welcomed the Royal aeroplane, which was escorted by six other machines. A launch immediately went alongside, and took off the party, amid deafening cheers from the crowd of 10,000 people who were thronging the waterfront.
- According to the weekly returns of the Ministry of Labour, the number of persons on the registers of Employment Exchanges in Great Britain on February 16 was:— Wholly unemployed = 1,895,896, Temporarily stopped = 621,658, normally in casual employment, = 113,558; Total = 2,631,212.
- Some time ago Glasgow Public Assistance Committee were invited by the Royal Commission on Unemployment Insurance to submit to the Government Commission suggestions and recommendations regarding its future scope. Among the suggestions in a memorandum which was drawn up by a sub-committee is the proposal that after a period of not less than two years' chargeability, the position of each recipient of able-bodied relief should be reviewed with a view to considering whether relief in cash should not terminate, and further relief be made only in return for work.

MORE POINTS FOR CELTIC
Celtic beat Hamilton Academicals by 2 goals to 1 in the First Division of the Scottish League, at Celtic Park yesterday, before an attendance of 2,000.
Hamilton were without Dougall, F. Wilson, D. Wilson, and Herd, while Celtic had P. Wilson and Napier absent.
The ground was treacherous, and Hamilton scored in six minutes owing to the home defenders being unable to keep their balance, Howe converting a cross by King.
Celtic equalised ten minutes later, McGrory taking advantage of a slip by Watson to beat Gilmour. After this, Celtic monopolised the play, but with all their pressure they were unable to get the winning, goal until three minutes from the end, when R. Thomson netted a cross from Kavanagh.
Hamilton had occasional raids which caused the home defence some trouble, but had R. Thomson and Scarff taken the openings presented them, the game would have been won much earlier.
Both keepers were good, and Cook was the best back afield, although Allan did well.
Watson and McStay were the outstanding halves, and there was not a more thrustful forward on view than Kavanagh, whose crosses were perfect. A. Thomson and. Scarff worked hard with little success. McLuckie was smart.
