Trivia

  • Celtic & World War Two
  • Celtic score four goals for the third game in a row, but finally win the game! Score was 4-4 in the last two game, but still Celtic conceding goals. Poor goalkeepers was a bain for Celtic till Willie Miller arrived to take over in goals.
  • Monday December 8 – Britain wakes up to the news that the Japanese have bombed Pearl Harbour. The US are now in the Pacific War, and a day later Hitler declares war on them as well. So Britain now has a huge ally in the West, as well as the Soviet Union in the East. Churchill delighted, but on December 10, the Japanese sank British ships, the HMS Hood and HMS Repulse. Now definitely a world war.
