Trivia

  • Bobby Collins was out and Jimmy Walsh came back into the team following injury.

Review

Hearts had the better of the early encounters but the Celtic forwards were giving Hearts a hard time. Celtic were awarded a penalty after 12 minutes when McGrory was taken out by Dougan. McPhail scored from the spot. Almost from the restart Jimmy Wardhaugh equalised for Hearts. Hearts probably had the better of the half and at half time it was all even at 1-1.
Celtic nearly took the lead in the second half with a shot from Peacock that was inches wide. Celtic made the running in the second with plenty of shots but no success. Boden picked up an injury in the second half which left him pretty much oot the game and had to leave the pitch 5 minutes from the end. This proved to be a second twist and tear of his kneecap and put him out for the rest of the season.
