Review

Celtic kicked off and played with the wind and were a goal up after six minutes. Fernie beat his man and cut in. Duncan met his cross and shot against the crossbar and McPhail following up got the rebound. His shot was also too high and Fernie picked up the rebound to despatch it. Celtic were playing most of the game with Raith making occasional breaks. fernie missed a chance to go two up as did Walsh when he was put through by Collins, and Walsh and McPhail missed further chances. In the second half Duncan was unlucky not to win a penalty. ERaith made more of a go of it in the second half with Hunter having to make some good saves. fernie and Collinsd scored within two minutes of each other to put the game beyond doubt.

Yet again the number of chances Celtic made for themselves they could have won the game by double figures.
