Review

Sharp scored for Partick Thistle with a header pretty close to kick off but Fernie equalised a minute later from a McPhail pass. Celtic then proceeded to monopolise the game with Evans, Collins and Fernie inter-passing at will. fernie got a second from a Mochan centre. Kerr fouled Mochan just before half time but Collins' penalty was saved.Mochan and McPhail were readily swapping position and Fernie was having a game and a half. Bonnar had to make some crucial saves in the second half to preserve the lead. The game deteriorated towards the end as the forwards became more anxious to get a third with Thistle getting closer and closer to an equalising goal. Fernie was the best player for Celtic.
